Accreditation
CTRCA is a fully accredited member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accrediation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) and the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA). Our preschool, after school program, and summer camp are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Education.
Curriculum
Since 1996, the ABeka curriculum has been used. The ABeka approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable. We believe our ministry is to lead young people to Christ and train them in the Bible, Christian character, and traditional subject matter. Our students will have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future.
Uniforms
CTRCA has a uniform dress code of belted slacks or shorts and collared shirts with the CTRCA logo for the young gentlemen. Collared shirts with the CTRCA logo and belted slacks, shorts, jumpers, or skirts are required for the young ladies. (A complete description of the dress code is in the CTRCA handbook). All tops must be purchased through the school. All slacks/shorts/jumpers/skirts must be navy blue, khaki, or black and may be purchased through the school or elsewhere.
History
Christ the Rock Christian Academy was established in 1993. Our founders had a vision of establishing a school of excellence that fully challenges our students. Our goal is to see every child reach his full potential in every area of his life--academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Bible Class
God's Word is our foundation, and we pray for the children each morning. Bible class and devotions are held each day. There is a chapel service for all classes once a week. Extra Curricular
CTRCA provides classes in Computer, Art, and Spanish to all students. Taekwondo and dance classes are available after school. Basketball is offered in the fall for upper elementary students.
Class Size
Our small classroom settings create an excellent learning environment here at Christ the Rock Christian Academy. The average classroom size is approximately 13 to 20 students.
Admission Testing
All new students entering 2nd-8th grades are required to take an entrance exam. The testing fee is $50.00 and is due at the time of testing. Testing should be scheduled through our office. Please call if you are interest in your child attending CTRCA.
Statement of Nondiscrimination
We admit students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin. |
